Tejas: A Simple Personal Blog Theme for WordPress

Hello there! Thanks for landing on the introductory post. In this post, we’ll be talking about the story behind this theme, the features it provides, and will also be digging into the customization options it provides.

It has always been a dream for me to create a WordPress theme that can be customized superbly, and I have been learning WordPress development for like 3 years now. I have done a lot theme customization work in past, I have created themes myself for my personal projects. This is my first attempt to do premium, feature-laden theme, and I hope it gets received well.

There was an era when we used to have those option panels (like plugins) for themes as well; we still do have them now, but the recommended way to customize themes now is the WordPress Customizer API.

Tejas is completely based on the Customizer API, i.e. you can customize your WordPress site live, in the real time. No need to keep saving options in any option pages, no more coming back and reloading the website to see the changes.
